Laptop found

Thankfully my laptop is being returned tomorrow. Phew. That sucked! To all you assholes talking shit about me losing it, you got no heart. Think if you lost your laptop, you'd freak he fuck out! Also we weren't idiots who didn't notice someone hauling out a laptop. The laptop was on the driver's seat by the front door so she just grabbed it before stepping out. I shouldn't have left it out probably but I dumped my stuff off there before we went out. By the time we returned at 3am I forgot all about it! And I didn't invite random people. Others did.

The haters: you have no lives or hearts.

The supporters: thank you so much for reposting and helping me out. I love you all.

Vickyt

RETURN MY LAPTOP

Hey so as some of you know, my laptop got stolen last night from our bus. I'm furious, upset and feel my privacy has been completely invaded. We invited people into our home. They came, they hung out, we gave them free drinks & food, treated them as our guest and they left with my laptop. THANKS!!!

I filed a police report but a few minutes ago I was informed our bus company has a security camera in the front driver's area to protect our drivers. Their offices are closed now but as of next week they can access the video and send me a copy. I don't want to be that person, but if it comes down to it, I will put that video all over the fucking place and humiliate you endlessly. I will also send the police on you.

I'd rather have this all be nice and kosher. If you want to be a good human being and send me an anonymous email confessing you have it, PLEASE DO! I will send you the information on where you should send my computer. Or if you want to just hand it to me, I will take it and pay you a reward. Personal items and memories on there are far more valuable to me than how much of a reward I need to pay to get it back.

PLEASE

CONTACT - ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE LAPTOP PLEASE NO FAN MAIL TO returnvickytslaptop@gmail.com

VICTORIA

PLEASE POST THE LINK TO THIS ENTRY ANYWHERE YOU CAN THINK OF!!!

Michael Jackson's Memorial

Today was a heartbreaking day for me. It wasn't until I attended MJ's memorial that the reality he is no longer with us, hit me hard. I cried and cried at the speeches, the songs, seeing his casket, and all the family, friends, fans that bawled around me.

I first saw MJ play when I was 5 years old. My mother and her friends took me to The Forum in 89. I was already a fan of MJ because of his music videos on TV, and Captain Eo at Disneyland. I remember the opening to his show. Seeing a large screen projecting his infamous Moonwalk. I was in a trance. My mother said she didn't even know if I was enjoying the show because I just stared at him. I couldn't take my eyes away but I didn't even sing along despite the fact I knew most the songs. I just stood and soaked it all in. She tried to sneak us out before the encore to avoid crowds and that was the only reaction she saw from me. I screamed and cried as if I were going to die. I demanded we watch the remainder of the show. She had to drag me up the escalator with me hooting and hollering. My mom got so embarrassed by the scene I was causing she finally let go of my arm after dragging me to the top. I immediately turned around and ran down the up escalator to watch the rest of the show. I was very young but that memory is still so vivid for me. His show changed my life. After that, I watched his shows religiously. I went through several VHS copies of Moonwalker because I watched it so often. There was something so tender, human, magical and somehow godly about Michael Jackson. He was someone you could relate to really look up to. I don't know. Maybe this is all getting too heavy and emotional but he really impacted me growing up. He made me believe I could do anything if I worked hard enough for it.

I continued being a fan of MJ all through my teenage years too. When I was 14 I went with my parents to Prague because my father was working for Sony at the time and he had to go there for business. Michael Jackson was performing there two nights in a row. I was a teen with all the mean attitude that comes with that at the time so I presented the attitude of "I don't give a fuck" to my parents regularly. We got to our hotel and my mother told me MJ was staying in the same hotel. I responded with, "cool. whatever." I then vanished for hours. My parents wondered where I was. I said I was "just going downstairs to read for a bit." They discovered I was standing outside with hundreds of fans all standing beneath his window. I just stared up at his window hoping for a glimpse. I tried to act like I was too cool to join in the fandom but he was my one weakness.

Later that night I saw him perform. I cried, I sang, I laughed, I danced while I watched his show in Prague. It was another life changing concert. I returned to the hotel with my parents feeling like it was the best night of my life. Just as we were stepping in we heard people shout "Michael Jackson is coming in." My heart skipped a beat and I turned around. Security burst in moving people out of the way. People started crying and screaming. MJ came in and shook everyones hands, including mine. His eyes were so beautiful, the rest of his face was covered with a mask but he said in a tiny voice, "nice to meet you, you're all wonderful." Just like everyone else I suddenly cried. I don't know what came over me. It was overwhelming.

I'm writing about this for me I guess. I relived these memories at the memorial today. I remembered how much he impacted my life and how much his music still will. Call this entry cheesy ... but ... man ... I'm really hurting. He was such a talent. Such a wonderful gem in this world. He changed mine in many ways. I really loved MJ and will continue on doing so. Of course he was called a freak and some horrible things were said about him (true or untrue) and he did look quite frightening after the many surgeries ... but he was human and he was attacked for everything he said or did. He was beaten as a child and then became an immediate star on top of it; invaded by everyone around him. I think it's tragic.

After the memorial I continued to cry a long time. I re-watched Moonwalker thanks to Youtube. I watched his music videos and sobbed.

He had a very beautiful soul.

I miss you MJ, I really do.

One of your biggest fans,

Victoria Jane Asher

<lj-embed id="26" />

<lj-embed id="27" />

I know my boobs are sweet in real life ... just not video life ... in this one anyway. hahaha. talk about a bad boob day: Dress made my boobs smashed and unappealing. Ryland and Jack said they looked great at the time. When I saw the rough cut of this video I was furious and totally disagreed and am not happy about my boobs ... the rest of this I'd say is pretty funny.

check it out. New CobraCam.tv

hahaha

EDIT: wow. I got some hate from this for the Jack mention ... I couldn't stop myself from laughing hysterically. I'm talking about Jack EDINGER! jeeez

<lj-embed id="25" />

I got bored so I made this video ... simple song, simple video. I just filmed it from my computer and edited it in final cut studio. All vocals/guitar were just from my computer mic. Keys and drums were recorded via garageband.

Song is: Elevator to Hell - "Why I didn't like August 93"

greatest and most tragic love story

I grew up with my mother reading me this story and both of us crying in bed from it.

It is one of the most beautiful and tragic fairy tales I've read. It is by Oscar Wilde one of my favorite authors.

I read it out loud tonight on stickam ... and cried whilst reading ...

Maybe some of you should read it too.

http://www.online-literature.com/wilde/178/

My birthday book

Whilst this video uploaded to youtube, I read through every letter and viewed every page fully. I actually started to cry this book made me so happy. Every word you guys wrote meant so much to me. Had a rough day earlier and this really cheered me up. I feel so fortunate to have all of you showing me so much love. I have loved meeting all of you and look forward to meeting those of you I have not yet gotten the pleasure to.

Thank you guys soo very much and serious love to Tasha who seems to have put the whole book together. Every drawing, every drop of glitter, every piece of hard work that went into this book has not been ignored. It is so beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Really warmed my heart in so many ways.

I love you all. I am forever grateful to have you.

xxx

Vicky-T

<lj-embed id="23" />

Washington DC: Day TWO

What an unbelievable day. My oh my. It's not even over yet. My good friend Saul and I took a bike carriage over around 9am.

We got in quickly (surprisingly) with our tickets and got center and front of the purple area we had tickets for. Video taped the whole thing which I will edit and upload later. It was very cold but everyone was in good spirits. Everyone is so friendly and happy, it's amazing the power Obama has had over every person here. It's beautiful. People booed audibly when George Bush came out. They even sang "La La La La, La La La La. Hey Hey heeeey GOODBYE."

When Obama came out, the screams were deafening. Tears streamed down my face and others around me. Cannons shot off. It was so incredible. His speech made me cry throughout.

More later. I am excited to upload the footage from today.

Here are some photos!

Washington DC. Day ONE:

1:13pm:

As I write this I am on the train from NYC to Washington, DC with my mother and her good friend Jimmy. The excitement is building in me that I get to witness such a historical moment. I am looking over at a photo of Obama on the front of Time Out and thinking to myself, "Thank god he is going to be our president."

Now I don't think he's some kind of god ... he has a huge job to do and I don't expect him to full fill everything people hope from him but I do feel good with our country in his hands. I trust him to work as hard as he can to fix things as best he can. . He has a HUGE job ahead but he seemed determined and prepared for it. He is someone I definitely believe in and I love his speeches. It's nice to have someone inspiring taking charge of our country.

I found out yesterday that I get to go to his swearing in. A friend had an extra ticket. I'm so damn excited to be in the midst of all the madness. Surely I'll be standing with tears of joy streaming down my face.

I will try to update as much as I can during my trip. What a fantastic birthday, best gift I could've received.
Anyway, nothing much to report right now. Just a lot of staring out the window, admiring the snow covered hills, and listening to Coconut Records.

Tonight I am going to Shepard Fairey's party. I can't wait.

SIDE NOTE:

No more of this!!! phew!!!!

"peeance freeance" is the funniest bushism yet. I love the guy next to hims reaction::

<lj-embed id="18" />

Video for Kiss My Sass

It was a stressful thing to work on while on warped but it got done. My best friend Matt Ornstein and I got together and directed our new video. We had no budget but I wanted to make it happen...

COBRA STARSHIP - Kiss My Sass
<lj-embed id="15" />

Special thanks to Katy Perry for lending me her clothes, Matt Ornstein, Travis McCoy, Markus Molinari, Suzanne, Kristen Arnette, Dan Lipski and everyone else on Warped Tour.

The Mighty Boosh and Sassy Tour

Hello lovelies.

Random entry....

So I'm a HUGE Mighty Boosh fan. Have been for ages. Sadly, I only have British DVDs that work only on a multi-region player (in other words not what we have on the bus.) Does anyone have a copy of the show on their computers? A US dvd of it? I so would love to be able to watch it with the boys on the bus. Just curious if any of you have it because I'm missing it from my life.

It's 5am. My eyes are so blurred. Ryland and I stayed up until 7am watching movies back to back last night. I love that he is my film partner. I don't know what I'd do without him. The rest of the guys have such short attention spans for the older films I love watching.

We watched "Play It Again, Sam" by Woody Allen (one of my childhood favorites) and The Tenant by Roman Polanski. Both so great. We took a while digesting The Tenant then watched High School High on TV to lighten the mood! (if you see the film you'll know what I mean)

Arrived at a truck stop around 6am. Gabe and I grabbed all you can eat breakfast for $6. Was delicious. Eggs is a seriously desired food whilst on tour. We never wake up early enough to get em from nearby restaurants so we always miss our breakfast!

This tour has been so wonderful. Every tour experience is life changing and fascinating. A different city every day, different people every second and new friendships every time. So happy to have all of you supporting us and coming to the dance party that we bring!!!

As much as I'm having a great time. I am SO ready to get to my own bed, to have Gizmo in my arms again and to smell clean rooms (unlike our smelly bus!!!)

okay, I guess I'm gonna try and sleep.

Love to all of you.

V
